Worked Hours

The Base Hours window allows for variations in the employee's work hours .

Example:

  • Part Time employees who only work on specified days of the week
  • Employees whose daily work hours vary
  • Employees who have Rostered days off
  • How employees are to accrue RDO's for part days worked
  • How employees are to be paid for an RDO, by the current rate of pay or the rate of pay that RDO is accrued.
  • How many hours should be paid for an RDO payment

The Base Hours window caters for all of the above scenarios. Each record must be identified by a Base Hours code and include the following details:

  • Base Hours worked in a week (e.g. 40)
  • Standard Hours worked on each day of the week. (e.g. 8 hours from Monday to Friday).
  • The method used to accrue and pay RDO.

Base Hours are also used by the leave accrual method to determine the ratio of accrual.
